From The Mill Floor To M Tech.

He learned the trade inside other people’s mills first. Everything since, from the first spare parts to whole mills changing hands, grew out of those years.

The First Job

His working life began on the open-end spinning floors of Karachi.

  • Started as an employee on the mill floor
  • Saw how every machine runs, breaks down and gets put right
  • Learned the trade with his hands before he learned it on paper

Spare Parts, On The Side

Alongside his job, he started learning the spare parts business.

  • Which part fits which machine
  • Where to find it, and how fast
  • What a stopped machine really costs a mill
